Spirit Pub Group has announced that sales for the last quarter were up 6%.
During the 12 weeks to 24 May 2013 like-for-like food sales were up 4.8%, while like-for-like drink sales were up 7.1%.
The positive figures contributed to overall growth of 5.2% for the 40 weeks to 24 May 2014.
Spirit said that during the period it had continued to roll out its Flaming Grill brand.
In its leased estate like-for-like net turnover was up 2.5% for the third quarter, while like-for-like net income was up 5.3%. This represented a third consecutive quarter of net income growth.
Chief executive Mike Tye said: "We remain pleased with the strong performance over the quarter, with both divisions continuing to demonstrate the benefits of investment in our estate, infrastructure and people.
"In our managed division, we have now commenced our planned expansion of the estate and we continue to see the benefits of the turnaround in the leased division."
