The Marriott International property is due to launch in London’s Mayfair in mid-2026 with general manager Marco Novella at the helm
St Regis London has announced the names of its executive committee ahead of the hotel’s highly anticipated opening in mid-2026.
The team will be led by general manager Marco Novella, who joins the luxury Marriott property in Mayfair from Hotel Cipriani in Venice.
Patrick Mudalige has been named hotel manager, joining from Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts. He brings more than 30 years’ experience in luxury hospitality, having worked across European, Middle Eastern and Asian markets.
Summiya Chaudary, formerly director of people and culture at the Lanesborough, has been appointed director of human resources, while Romy Turkington has been named director of marketing, having recently been with W Hotels in London.
Other appointments include former 1 Hotel Mayfair alumnus Michael Blin as director of sales and distribution and Monika Sancewicz-Klis as director of revenue, who joins from her role as luxury cluster director of revenue strategy for Marriott.
Finally, Oybek Rozmetov, also previously of the Lanesborough, has been appointed director of engineering, while Ashok Rao, previously director of finance for two London-based Marriott properties, joins as director of finance at St Regis London.
Once it opens, the hotel will offer 195 rooms, 66 of which are suites, in addition to an all-day restaurant, jazz bar and private dining room.
The property takes over the former site of Westbury Mayfair and has been transformed by Richmond International to feature two new floors, expanded public areas and a new façade.
Since the launch of St Regis New York in 1904, the brand has been known for its signature butler service and social rituals.
There are more than 60 St Regis Hotels & Resorts worldwide.
The brand joined Marriott International in 2016 following the hotel giant’s acquisition of rival Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
