It comes roughly six years after Adolfo De Cecco, former head chef at Pidgin, opened Casa Fofó in 2019
The team behind the Michelin-starred Casa Fofó in London’s Hackney is set to open a wine bar and restaurant later this month.
Bianca’s in Stoke Newington takes its name from chef-owner Adolfo De Cecco’s first child and promises to offer seasonal dishes in a more “casual, approachable” setting.
The launch comes roughly six years after De Cecco, former head chef at Pidgin, opened his own 28-cover restaurant, which continues to showcase seasonal British ingredients and natural and low-intervention wines after securing its Michelin star in 2021.
The inclusion of a dedicated charcuterie room at Bianca’s is also a nod to traditional Italian osterias.
Dishes will include the likes of handmade pork agnolotti with smoked mackerel broth, gnocchi with fermented cream and wild garlic, sheep’s sausage with mash and crab curry, and salted milk ice cream with rhubarb and seaweed.
The wine list features around 100 bottles with a focus on natural, low-intervention wines chosen by De Cecco.
Bianca’s is opening on 24 April and is due to introduce a daytime café with a pastry-led breakfast offering at a later date.
