The Nurture Brands has divested its Kent production facilities and team members
UK juice brand the Juice Smith has acquired the cold-pressed juice and shots operations of Nurture Brands’ Rebel Kitchen coconut water.
The acquisition includes a fully operational production facility in Maidstone, Kent, established infrastructure and an experienced team, enabling the Juice Smith to significantly scale its manufacturing capabilities.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed and the Juice Smith underlined there will be no job losses at the production site.
The Kent facility will continue to produce cold-pressed juices for the Juice Smith, its private label partners and existing Rebel Kitchen customers. The expanded operation will support both organic and non-organic ranges.
Alongside this, the Juice Smith is introducing Amazonian fruit camu camu into its juice range. Camu camu contains 2,000mg-3,000mg of vitamin C per 100g — approximately 30–50 times higher than oranges — and is said to support immune function and play a role in post-exercise recovery and collagen synthesis.
Richard Smith-Bernal, founder and managing director of the Juice Smith, said: “This is a defining moment for the Juice Smith. By bringing together brand, production and expertise, we are building a business capable of delivering exceptional juice at scale. Our focus remains on quality, consistency and supporting our partners – whether through our own range or private label – as we continue to grow.”
Adam Draper, managing director of Nurture Brands, added: “We’re proud of the juice business we have built and confident it will continue to thrive under the Juice Smith. This strategic divestment allows us to focus our resources behind the continued growth of Rebel Kitchen coconut water.”
