The group’s burger bars in London’s Clapham Junction, Queensway and Islington, as well as its Brighton outpost closed earlier this year
Burger brand MeatLiquor has appointed administrators after shuttering more than half of its estate in March.
The brand, which opened its first restaurant in 2011 and at its peak in 2018 operated 11 sites, appointed Rushtons Insolvency ltd on April 9, according to filings with The Gazette.
The group’s burger bars in London’s Clapham Junction, Queensway and Islington, as well as its Brighton outpost closed earlier this year.
MeatLiquor continued to operate burger bars in London’s East Dulwich and Oxford Circus in addition to sister sports bar Bloodsports in Covent Garden.
All three remain listed on the business’ website.
Last year founder Scott Collins (pictured) had told The Telegraph that he could not imagine the business “making any money in the next financial year, and that’s with opening a brand new site, so the coffers are empty”.
Collins and Yianni Papoutsis founded MeatLiquor as a London street food van and opened its first restaurant in Marylebone.
The Caterer has contacted Rushtons Insolvency for comment.
