Admiral Taverns raises £15,000 for charity
Pub operator Admiral Taverns has raised over £15,000 for the British Heart Foundation after team conquered the summit of Scafell Pike in Cumbria, the highest peak in England.
On 18 May, 12 cyclists set off from the Chester head-office to pedal a 160-mile route through Cheshire, Lancashire and the Lake District to the foot of the mountain.
Two days later, they were joined by colleagues to complete a mass climb of the 978-metre mountain to the summit on foot, which they reached in less than 4 hours.
Over the last four years, the Admiral team has climbed Mount Snowdon and Ben Nevis. Last weekend the group completed the Three Peaks Challenge by scaling the Scafell Pike.
Through completing the Three Peak Challenge, Admiral Taverns has now raised over £70,000 in the last four years for its chosen charities including the British Heart Foundation, Mind and Macmillan.
