Evolv Collection (formerly D&D London) has opened Bluebird City restaurant at South Place hotel
Bluebird City restaurant has opened in Evolv Collection’s South Place hotel as the group refocuses its operations under new chief executive Martin Williams.
Operating as the sister restaurant to Bluebird Chelsea, the restaurant will offer all-day dining featuring some of the dishes which made it so popular in west London, including its duck salad.
Executive head chef Rob Grist will also be putting his own stamp on the menu with new dishes including Cornish white crab toast, courgette spaghetti and Tomahawk steak, alongside ‘city classics’ including a club sandwich and chicken flatbread.
Taking the space formerly occupied by 3SP, the 75-cover Bluebird City will complement South Place’s Michelin-starred Angler restaurant, offering an accessible menu that goes from brunch to dinner, along with bar bites and a children’s menu.
Martin Williams, incoming chief executive of Evolv Collection (formerly D&D London), said: “Bluebird City is an incredibly exciting addition to South Place hotel, bringing a fresh, dynamic energy that perfectly complements the refined elegance of our Michelin-starred restaurant, Angler.
“While Angler continues to celebrate the finest seafood with precision, Bluebird City will offer a vibrant, all-day dining experience with a modern twist—creating a perfect balance for our guests and the City’s dining scene.”
