The restaurants are listed alongside Liz Cottam’s Emba in Leeds and Adam Maddock’s Brasserie at Saltmoore in Whitby
Fowl and Dove in London are among 16 new restaurants that have been added to the Michelin Guide Great Britain & Ireland’s listings this month.
The team behind Fallow started Fowl as a pop-up “beak-to-feet” chicken restaurant in late 2023 before turning it into a permanent fixture in London’s St James’s. Serving the likes of chicken fat tarte Tatin and Nashville hot wing strips, the restaurant has been praised by Michelin for its “playful touch” and “serious” chefs.
Dove, which was relaunched by Jackson Boxer in the former site of his Orasay restaurant in London earlier this year, was also added to the Guide, while Liz Cottam’s Emba, which opened in the site of her Owl gastropub, was recognised for its “eye for detail”.
Other additions included Knepp Wilding Kitchen in Horsham, which serves “delicious home-grown produce”; the Swan Inn in Fittleworth, which is “packed with traditional British dishes that don’t mess around when it comes to flavour”; and Basque pub the Prince Arthur in London, which is led by ex-Brat chef Adam Iglesias.
Michelin updates its recommendations each month based on its inspectors’ travels, with any additions highlighted by a ‘New’ symbol.
It does not confirm if the restaurants will receive a star, Bib Gourmand or any other awards until the formal Michelin Guide ceremony.
