It comes amid an overhaul of F&B at the Loch Lomond hotel
Graeme Cheevers, the chef behind Glasgow’s Michelin-starred Unalome, will open a new restaurant at Cameron House hotel this spring.
It marks a homecoming of sorts for Cheevers, who honed his craft as head chef at Martin Wishart’s Michelin-starred restaurant at the five-AA-red-star hotel more than a decade ago.
He is returning to the Loch Lomond hotel to launch Loma, which is described as a “refined, immersive dining experience that showcases the very best of Scotland’s natural larder, heritage and culinary innovation”.
It is the second restaurant for the team behind Unalome, which Cheevers opened in Glasgow in 2021 and won a Michelin star just eight months later.
The chef confirmed he will be actively involved in both kitchens and plans to divide his time between the two.
“I am thrilled to return to Cameron House to create Loma,” said Cheevers. “This is an incredible opportunity to showcase Scotland’s finest produce in a destination that truly embodies our country’s elegance and spirit.”
The opening follows a period of change at Cameron House, which last year closed fine-dining restaurant Tamburrini & Wishart and relaunched its Boat House restaurant after 14 years as modern Italian venue La Vista an.
Will Oakley, former general manager at the Cadogan in London, joined the hotel as managing director in January. He took over from Michael Lavizani, who stepped down late last year.
Oakley said: “We are delighted to welcome back Graeme Cheevers and collaborate with him on this exciting new venture. Graeme began his Cameron House journey in 2009 as head chef, and his passion for exceptional cuisine, commitment to excellence, and deep understanding of the resort make him the perfect partner.”
