A seventh of its estate will undergo extensive refurbishments this spring
Heartwood Collection has announced plans for a £1.5m refurbishment of five of its pubs, due to complete this June.
The Alchemy Partners-backed hospitality group will undergo a transformation of its Reigate, Chobham, Upminster, Thame and Weybridge sites, with further upgrades to be announced in due course.
All of these sites will close temporarily to allow for extensive renovations, which will result in new gardens, furniture, signage and décor.
Richard Ferrier, chief executive of Heartwood Collection, said: “This investment reflects our long-term commitment to the communities we serve. As we continue to grow, it’s equally important that we reinvest in our existing pubs to ensure they look beautiful, feel welcoming and continue delivering the high-quality food and hospitality our guests expect. We’re excited to unveil these refreshed spaces and to welcome guests back through the doors very soon.”
Heartwood Collection operates 35 Heartwood Inns pubs and 13 Brasserie Blanc restaurants across the UK.
In its financial year ending June 2024, the group posted £67.9m in revenue.
Ferrier also previously told The Caterer of his plans to hit 500 bedrooms in the next couple of years amid a pubs with rooms boom.
In 2023, Heartwood Collection secured £100m of additional funding from OakNorth Bank and Alchemy Partners in a bid to grow its portfolio to over 60 pubs by June 2027.
