Majozi is leaving the Rosewood London hotel after 11 years during which she launched the Pie Room with Calum Franklin
Nokz Majozi has announced her departure from the Pie Room at Holborn Dining Room in the Rosewood London hotel.
In a post on Instagram, she said: “It’s been an incredible journey at Rosewood London over the past eleven years. I’ve had the privilege of leading our Pie Room team and working with exceptional colleagues who share a passion for culinary excellence.
“I’m particularly proud of mentoring chefs like Laszlo Kiss, and I’m confident the Pie Room will continue to thrive. Rosewood London will always remain special to me, and I look forward to seeing the legacy continue.”
A spokesperson for the Rosewood London said: “As head pie maker, she has elevated traditional pie-making techniques while mentoring the next generation of culinary talent, including Laszlo Kiss who will continue the Pie Room’s tradition. Beyond her culinary expertise, Majozi has been actively involved with Women in Hospitality, supporting career development within the industry. The Rosewood London family wish Nokx all the best in her future endeavours.”
Majozi took over as head pie maker from chef Calum Franklin at the Pie Room in 2022, having worked closely with Franklin to develop the project at the five-red-AA-star Rosewood London hotel.
Originally from South Africa, Majozi started her career in Florida, before moving to London, where she worked at five-star hotels including the Landmark in Marylebone and Brown’s in Mayfair before arriving at the Rosewood in May 2014.
