Miko Mei Fair, which is set to open its doors in April, marks Samyukta Nair’s sixth launch in London’s Mayfair
Restaurateur Samyukta Nair will launch a new Thai restaurant, entitled Miko Mei Fair, in April.
The new opening is described as a “lovechild” of Nair’s Mimi Mei Fair and her former restaurant Koyn Thai.
The 50-cover restaurant will be led by Soonthorn Apaipat, former head chef of Koyn Thai, with a menu focused on fire-led Thai cooking.
The restaurant will sit on the ground floor of the Georgian townhouse where its stablemate Mimi Mei Fair currently operates, and offer private dining for up to eight guests.
Miko Mei Fair will be launched the Nair family-owned restaurant consortium LSL Capital, where Samyukta is creative director and CEO, and marks the group’s sixth restaurant in London’s Mayfair.
The group’s former restaurant Koyn closed in September after three years of trading.
Samyukta Nair said: “Miko Mei Fair represents a natural evolution, bringing together warm, intimate dining with the focus and discipline of fire led cooking.
“While Miko Mei Fair and Mimi Mei Fair share the same townhouse and devotion to detail, they each have their own identity and spirit. We look forward to welcoming guests to experience Thailand from the heart of Mayfair, in a setting that feels both alive and deeply personal.”
