Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant chain is relaunching in London following a deal with Brava Hospitality Group
The new Jamie’s Italian will open its doors in London’s Leicester Square on 11 March.
The brand is returning to the UK high street through a partnership between Jamie Oliver and Prezzo Italian owner Brava Hospitality.
The restaurant is located over three floors, offering 140 covers.
It will feature an open kitchen with dining spaces on the first floor and in the basement. The new restaurant will also feature a bar serving Jamie’s Italian Tuscan wine on tap and cocktails including rosemary negroni, walnut old fashioned, and limoncello spritz.
The menu, curated by Oliver, will feature a mix of new dishes and classics, including red meat planks, prawn linguine and Gennaro’s bolognese.
Pasta and bread are made fresh on the premises every day, with ingredients supplied by the likes of Cobble Lane, HG Walters, Chalk Stream Trout and Liberty Wines.
The opening is set to create more than 50 new jobs, with the restaurant looking for waiting staff, hosts, chef de partie and sous chefs.
James Brown, chief executive at Brava Hospitality Group, said: “This is a huge moment for Brava and the Jamie’s Italian teams.
“Together, we’ve spent months refining and elevating the offering to deliver on our vision. Jamie’s Italian is now set to reimagine the high street through its exceptional, modern and generous hospitality, and we are looking forward to welcoming the first guests to experience it.”
Ed Loftus, global director of Jamie Oliver Restaurants, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be bringing Jamie’s Italian back to the UK. It’s a massive moment for the brand and a real privilege to be part of its relaunch. This has been a true collaboration between Jamie, the Brava team and our own team from day one, with painstaking attention to detail across every element, from the design and guest experience to the menu and ingredient sourcing.
“We’ve taken the time to carefully evolve the brand, holding on to everything people loved while refining it for today. I can’t wait for guests to experience what we’ve created together.”
Jamie’s Italian is the second brand to join the Brava Hospitality portfolio, sitting alongside Prezzo Italian, which underwent a rebrand in April 2025.
The original Jamie’s Italian chain reached 36 sites at its peak in the UK before its closure in 2019.
More than 1,000 jobs were lost when it closed alongside Oliver’s Barbecoa and Fifteen London restaurants after racking up millions in losses. Oliver has said it his failure to get the “basics” right led to the collapse of his UK restaurant business.
