The caterer has introduced a ’vibrant and contemporary’ offering
Caterer Seasoned has secured a contract to introduce a new food offering at the University of Sussex Students’ Union.
Sunny’s at Falmer Bar has been described as “vibrant and contemporary”. It will champion “fresh, high‑quality ingredients and food made in-house”, offering “a welcoming space for students to refuel, recharge and connect”.
Menus will include build-your-own deli bowls, smash burgers and loaded fries as well as tacos, pitta pizzas, jacket potatoes and nachos.
Paul Boon, chief venues officer at Seasoned, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with the University of Sussex Students’ Union to bring Sunny’s to life. Our aim was to create a concept that feels fresh, inclusive and full of personality – somewhere students genuinely want to spend time. From the menu to the atmosphere, everything has been designed with student life in mind.”
Elena Southard, University of Sussex Students’ Union’s student living and sustainability officer, added: “We’re delighted to have Seasoned onboard at Falmer Bar! Their enthusiastic and dynamic approach really came across in their pitch, building trust that they could create a service that really works for Sussex students. Already, they’ve built a menu to suit a variety of dining types, allergens, and budget-friendly options, and I feel confident this will be a true partnership. I’m sure they’ll be very loved at Falmer, and are keen to keep working with our students to make sure they’re delivering aces!”
