Who has been your biggest industry champion?
“I’ve been fortunate to have several champions throughout my career, but a special mention must go to Raphael Herzog, general manager at De Vere Tortworth Court, Richard Robbins, my previous line manager and, it goes without saying, my father. They have all supported me yet constantly challenged me to grow and have instilled the value of both excellence customer service and empathy. Their guidance has been invaluable, and I wouldn’t be where I am today in my hospitality journey without them.”
How do you get the best out of your team?
“I believe in creating a culture where people feel empowered, supported and genuinely excited to come to work every day. When team members feel seen and heard they naturally bring their best selves to the job.”
What excites you about your future in hospitality?
“I have always been driven by a clear goal of mine to become a general manager by the age of 30. That ambition drives me to constantly seek out new challenges, whilst also learning and improving with every situation which may arise. Hospitality is constantly evolving, and I want to be at the forefront of that change that not only exceeds guest expectations but also inspire teams to thrive.”
