Chef Clare Smyth has announced that her Sydney restaurant Oncore is to close its doors early next year.
A post from Oncore on Instagram said: “After four incredible years, we announce that Oncore by Clare Smyth will close its doors at Crown Sydney.”
It went on to say it was “immensely proud of our team’s dedication and the exceptional standard of service they’ve delivered. Together with @ChefClareSmyth, we have created a dining experience that sets a benchmark for excellence, and we are delighted to have shared that with so many wonderful guests.”
The last reservations will be taken on 28 February 2026.
Oncore, which opened in 2021, is Smyth’s second restaurant venture and her first international site. She launched her first restaurant in 2017, the three Michelin-starred Core by Clare Smyth in London’s Notting Hill.
Smyth, who grew up in Country Antrim, Northern Ireland, worked under Gordon Ramsay for 13 years and was chef-patron of the three-Michelin-starred Restaurant Gordon Ramsay.
