Club Company opens £8.5m hotel in Macclesfield

The £8.5m Tytherington Club hotel has opened in Macclesfield, having originally been due to open this spring, but was delayed due to the pandemic.

In the grounds of the Tytherington Golf and Country Club and designed by Sparc Studio, it offers 65 bedrooms and is the eighth hotel for the Club Company, which operates 15 country clubs as well as luxury holiday lodges.

All guests have access to the restaurant and bar at the neighbouring Tytherington Club, as well as its health and fitness facilities, swimming pool, luxury day spa and 18-hole championship golf course.

General manager Jamie McDonald said: "We are delighted to finally open the Tytherington in what has been a very difficult year. With demand for staycations soaring, we believe there will be strong demand for a premium hotel in the area. It's the perfect base for a golf or spa break or for exploring Cheshire and the stunning Peak District."

Majority-owned by Epiris, the Club Company operates 15 country clubs, the majority of which are located in central and southern England, including the Witney Lakes Resort in Oxfordshire, and Benton Hall in Essex.
