The contract renewal comes as the event caterer marks its 50th anniversary
Event caterer Freemans Event Partners has signed a new multi-year contract with motorsport venue Silverstone.
Under the renewed partnership, which has been running for 40 years, the Gloucester-based event caterer will remain the sole public food and beverage provider at the famed racing venue.
Freemans, which recently won Specialist Wholesaler of the Year at The Caterer’s 2025 Supplier Awards, will continue to cater for Silverstone’s annual events including the Tissot British Grand Prix MotoGP, Silverstone Festival and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix.
This year 500,000 fans visited the race track for the Formula One British Grand Prix, where Freemans offered more than 300 food and drink options and deployed over 300,000 seasonal workers to serve hungry fans.
Matt Luscombe, chief executive officer at Freemans Event Partners, said: “Our collaboration over the decades has consistently pushed boundaries in terms of quality and innovation, and this renewed agreement means we can continue to support the venue’s continued evolution as a world-class, multi-use destination.”
Stuart Pringle, chief executive officer at Silverstone, added: “Strengthening our partnership with Freemans Event Partners has been key to delivering an exceptional fan experience and enhancing the circuit’s broader commercial offering.”
After starting out as a single fish and chips outlet at Silverstone in 1975, Freemans, which is celebrating its 50th birthday this year, has grown to work with some of the UK’s biggest sporting venues and events including Lord’s Cricket Ground, and Wembley Stadium.
It serves over 25 million people annually across more than 650 event days.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
