Work will begin this summer and the hotel will stay open throughout
Harbour Hotels is to undertake a £3m refurbishment of all rooms and suites at its Guildford hotel.
The project will begin this summer to redesign all 183 bedrooms and install upgraded technology and refreshed interiors.
It will bring fresh design to every room and bring it in line with the Harbour aesthetic. The new interiors will feature a warm, earthy colour palette along with cove lighting in the ceiling and metallic bedside lamps.
Beds will have a tufted leather deep-buttoned headboard, while a vintage-style rotary phone will contrast with Smart TVs equipped with Google Chromecast and a new digital interface serving as an in-room guide.
Harbour Hotels chief executive Mike Warren said: “We’re proud to be investing in the refurbishment of the bedrooms at our Guildford hotel. This reflects our commitment to maintaining Harbour Hotel Guildford as the leading luxury destination in the town, offering an experience that’s both elevated and unmistakably Harbour.
“With refined interiors, bespoke details and our signature touches throughout, we’re confident the new rooms and suites will delight guests – whether visiting for business, relaxation or a stylish city escape.”
The hotel will remain fully operational throughout the refurbishment period, with works phased to minimise disruption to guests and ensure continuity of service across all facilities.
The refurbishment project forms part of Harbour Hotels’ strategy to make ongoing enhancements across its portfolio of 14 design-led hotels in the UK.
