The multimillion-pound refurbishment comes ahead of the hotel’s centenary in 2029
JW Marriott Grosvenor House London has unveiled its refreshed JW Steakhouse and Bourbon Bar following a multimillion-pound refurbishment.
The new interiors have been inspired by the aesthetic of classic American steakhouses, complete with dark wood panelling, intimate booths and checkerboard flooring.
Executive chef Patrick O’Sullivan, who took over from Nigel Boschetti, serves signature dishes such as Maryland‑style crab cakes, baked Orkney scallops, braised Angus short ribs and grilled jumbo shrimp, as well as the JW Cheesecake, which is ordered more than 40,000 times a year.
Meats include premium USDA cuts from Creekstone Farm in Kansas, Australian Wagyu and selected UK-reared beef.
The relaunch coincides with the introduction of a year-long programme of themed menus, masterclasses and events at the steakhouse.
Guests will also be able to enjoy bourbon tastings at the revamped Bourbon Bar, home to over 500 rare and vintage bourbons curated by in-house expert Robert Streter. The collection is believed to be the largest outside of the US.
Stuart Bowery, general manager at JW Marriott Grosvenor House, said: “The refurbishment of JW Steakhouse and the Bourbon Bar reflects our ongoing commitment to evolving the guest experience at Grosvenor House. These spaces now feel even more connected to the hotel’s heritage while offering the comfort, craft and atmosphere today’s guests value. The new programme of dining and bourbon experiences gives both returning guests and first-time visitors fresh reasons to visit Park Lane.”
The refurbishment comes as JW Marriott Grosvenor House, the former home of the Duke of Westminster, looks to celebrate its centenary in 1929.
