The Compass-backed food hall is partnering with Broadwick, the owner of famed live music venues Drumsheds and Printworks
Kerb has unveiled traders for its latest food hall, Corner Corner in London’s Canada Water, which is launching next month.
These include the third iteration of Chick’n’Sours, which started in 2015 as a pop-up before expanding into its Haggerston restaurant, serving its signature fried chicken and cocktails.
It also features Café by Sireli, which was founded by Leytonstone locals Oliver Iplicjian and Mick McGurk as a Middle Eastern small plates and fried chicken joint inspired by Armenian and Levantine flavours.
Other traders include Masa Tacos, a family-run Mexican taco stall showcasing British produce, and Taiwanese street food purveyor Jou Jou’s Bites, which specialises in dumplings, baos and rice bowls.
The latest UK outpost comes six years after Kerb launched Seven Dials Market in London’s Covent Garden and five years after Kerb Events started collaborating with the National Theatre.
Corner Corner forms part of a larger mixed-use space featuring an indoor vertical farm developed by Harvest London, believed to be one of the biggest in the capital, a live music and cultural activities programme curated by Broadwick, the owners of famed London music venues Drumsheds and Printworks, and an extensive co-working area.
The partnership with Broadwick will also see the launch of a music initiative supporting up-and-coming artists through the offer of performance slots before and after the headline sets on Friday and Saturday nights.
Simon Mitchell, chief executive of Kerb, said: “We’ve worked closely with Broadwick to deliver a brilliant food and drink experience at Corner Corner. It showcases the diversity of London’s independent food scene – ranging from fantastic fried chicken to the phenomenal flavours of Taiwan, Mexico and Armenia. But unlike anywhere else, we’re giving our traders the opportunity to champion sustainability by sourcing ingredients from the in-house vertical farm.
"Kerb at Corner Corner is an example of exceptional hospitality that makes an impact, which is what we’re all about.”
