It comes soon after Michael Caines was appointed culinary strategist at the Stafford London
Chef Michael Caines’ Lympstone Manor hotel in Devon has joined the Stafford Collection.
It comes after Caines was appointed culinary strategist at the Stafford London hotel in April. The chef will oversee the relaunch of the Game Bird restaurant in autumn for his first restaurant project in London.
Caines, who won the Chef Award at the 2002 Cateys, acquired Lympstone Manor in 2015 and relaunched it as a modern country house hotel following a 16-month renovation.
John McLean, managing director of the Stafford Collection, said: “Michael and his exceptional team embody the same commitment to excellence, individuality and warm hospitality that defines our collection, especially the Stafford London. This partnership marks an exciting chapter, and I look forward to future collaborations built on shared expertise and a mutual passion for exceptional hospitality.”
Caines added: “Joining the Stafford Collection as an associate member is an exciting new chapter for Lympstone Manor. This partnership opens the door for our guests to enjoy a journey from coast to city, discovering exceptional dining and hospitality along the way. I’m particularly excited about the new direction for the restaurant at the Stafford, which will embrace a refreshed concept inspired by London’s dynamic culinary scene. Expect a more defined dining experience that reflects the terroir-driven philosophy at the heart of all my cooking.”
The partnership will see the group offer a city to coast accommodation package between Stafford London and Lympstone Manor.
The Stafford Collection now consists of Lympstone Manor, Stafford London and Norma restaurant in London’s Charlotte Street.
Northcote in the Ribble Valley, a former member of the Stafford Collection, has since been sold to new owners Silkstone Finance.
