Displayware supplier has imposed a temporary three-week lead time
Food display solutions supplier Dalebrook has suffered a fire at its headquarters in Witham, Essex.
Fortunately no-one was harmed, but the blaze severely damaged the firm’s head office and warehouse, which was its home since 1994 and has housed a purpose-built facility since 2000.
Dalebrook specialises in melamine displayware and tableware for hotels, restaurants and contract catering. The facility housed every part of Dalebrook’s operation, from in-house design to customer service and distribution.
It also held an archive of 80 years of company, which was founded in 1945.
Dalebrook’s international warehouses are supporting UK operations, with a temporary three-week lead time applied to UK deliveries as stock levels are rebuilt.
A company spokesperson said: “This is not a setback but a moment of resolution. Our team has shown up in every way imaginable. Demonstrating professionalism, resilience and efficiency in managing this crisis, proving why Dalebrook has been trusted by the industry for eight decades.
“As the brand marks its 80th anniversary, we reaffirm that quality, service and innovation are not defined by bricks and mortar. The building may be gone, but our values endure and our clients can continue to rely on the same excellence that has made Dalebrook renowned across the globe.”
