Wholesaler’s new partnership with ImpactLoop gives hospitality operators transparency on suppliers’ carbon data
Restaurant Design Associates (RDA) has partnered with carbon intelligence specialist ImpactLoop to streamline how it manages carbon credentials for the commercial catering equipment it specifies and supplies.
The partnership should enable the hospitality design firm to simplify carbon data collection and benchmarking for each product.
Using ImpactLoop’s AI-powered Asset Intelligence platform, RDA can now submit one-click, standardised data requests to manufacturing partners, monitor real-time progress via a live dashboard and benchmark performance across its supplier network.
Automated reminders chase suppliers, plus all responses feed into a single, centralised data hub, eliminating the need for manual chasing.
The partnership with ImpactLoop is intended to strengthen RDA’s existing ‘Ethical by Design’ framework, which encourages hospitality operator clients to consider their environmental impact. It gives them the data to make eco-friendly choices for each professional kitchen project, which could save them money on whole-life equipment and energy costs down the line.
Alongside automated carbon data collection, the partnership also offers RDA visibility into the footprint and performance of assets. Emissions can be accurately benchmarked alongside cost for each product, empowering RDA to embed both sustainability and operational performance for every client.
RDA commercial director Alex Bradley said: “This collaboration strengthens our role in helping our clients make informed, environmentally conscious choices that add long-term value and support their sustainability goals.”
ImpactLoop CEO Radhika Chadwick added: “Our Asset Intelligence platform makes it possible to weave environmental criteria into every purchasing decision for the lowest carbon, best value asset options, with no guesswork or manual data crunching. RDA are highly regarded for building sustainability into every project, and we’re delighted to be working with them to make one aspect of this – their carbon data management – quicker and easier.”
