The Ivy to open site in Manchester
The Ivy Collection has revealed plans to open a site in Manchester's Spinningfields district through a licence application to Manchester City Council.
The application has revealed the brand has its sights set on the Field at Hardman Square, a new development from Allied London which aims to be a "celebration of green space" and an "urban oasis" in the city centre (pictured).
Ivy Collection released a statement which read: "As of February 2017, the Ivy Collection has entered the planning process for a space in the Pavilion, Byrom St, Spinningfields, Manchester M3 3HG, to open a café-style brasserie in winter 2017. The restaurant will feature an all-day dining menu and will be open seven days a week.
"The Ivy Collection is a group of restaurants, brasseries and cafés, established in London and now growing regionally across the UK, offering accessible, all-day dining for locals and visitors alike. Each location is carefully handpicked to value, reflect and add to the local area."
In addition to the original Ivy restaurant on West Street, Covent Garden, the Ivy Collection is made up of four grills and brasseries in Covent Garden, Chelsea Garden, Kensington and Bristol; and three cafes in Marylebone, Wimbledon and St John's Wood, with a fourth planned for Cobham in Surrey.
