Here’s all the latest hospitality venues set to launch across the UK in March 2025
As we step into spring, diners across the UK can nourish themselves with a nutritious Covent Garden Goddess salad from the flagship Atis in London or indulge in agave at the latest Mexican bar from Corrochio’s founders Daniel Corrochio and Amy McQuarrie.
A rich variety of cuisines are on offer this month, including Italian (Rudy’s), Parisian (One Club Row), Portuguese (Tasca) and even French-Japanese (Café Kitsuné).

The owners of Crossbasket Castle near Glasgow have invested £20m into the five-AA-red-star 14-acre estate in High Blantyre to create a 1920s art deco-style hotel. The hotel has also welcomed Trocadero’s, an entertainment-led, opulently-designed restaurant from Michel Roux, which takes its inspiration from underground jazz clubs.

The Signet Collection is launching the Alfriston on the South Downs as a luxury boutique hotel. The 38-bedroom property now includes the 70-cover 1554 Brasserie, which takes its name from the date of the building, as well as a 110-cover hotel bar, the Orangery for breakfast and afternoon tea, and the signature Signet Spa.

Faris Sheibani’s Qima Café has launched its flagship store in Covent Garden in collaboration with DLSM Studio. The café sources its beans from more than 7,000 smallholder farmers, predominantly from Yemen, Colombia and Ecuador, and showcases these in a central coffee counter.

Chef Ben Humphreys is set to launch Thai restaurant the Bangkok Diners Club within the Edinburgh Castle Pub in Manchester’s Ancoats. The menu will focus on infusing smoky barbecue flavours into Thai cuisine, with a particular focus on Bangkok, where Humphreys moved to as a teenager.

Xiaoxiao Wang’s Noodle and Beer has launched its second site in London’s Chinatown. The 42-cover restaurant pays homage to his Sichuan Province upbringing and offers a halal menu devoted to rice and noodle dishes. The downstairs area has a 4am licence on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and will serve cocktails such as Sour Lush Desir and Whisky Highball Velvet Heat.

Contemporary Japanese restaurant Clap London is set to launch a spin-off café Clap Ka-fe serving artisan coffee, matcha, sencha and Japanese pastries. Savoury options, such as sushi and salads, will also be available.

Seaton House has opened in the former Scores hotel in St Andrews. The 42-bedroom property comprises six suites, three junior suites and an extensive F&B offering from chef patron Roy Brett. The hotel is operated by Valor Hospitality Partners and was developed in partnership with owners Links Collection.

The Knox, a Seventies-style speakesy bar, has launched underneath the Sloane Square hotel, which is famed for having welcomed the likes of the Beatles and Prince William. The space in Chelsea in London has been designed by Jo Mulvihill and serves classic cocktails with a modern twist.

The kitchen is headed by chef Richard Sinclair, previously of Pied à Terre and Italian restaurants Terre and Lardo. The dining room features dark cherry seating, a reclaimed terrazzo floor, and vintage lighting evoking 1950s Italy.

London-based Irish pub Nancy Spains is set to launch in Manchester’s Northern Quarter. A selection of Irish whiskeys and Murphy’s Stout will be available alongside a programme of live music events. The pub takes its name from Spains, who was born in County Kerry in 1857 and later became the first Irish landlady in London.

Former River Café chef Yohei Furuhashi is set to open a restaurant, café and events space in London’s South Kensington with creative director Martin Cohen (previously of New York’s Odeon) and Alcides Gauto of Toklas and Rochelle Canteen. The Lavery resides in the former home and studio of Anglo-Irish painter Sir John Lavery and will serve Mediterranean cuisine featuring ingredients from across the British Isles, as well as Scotland’s Balcaskie Estate.

Wine bar Vagabond has completed an extensive refurbishment at its London Battersea site. It now offers 40 additional covers and more than 100 wines for customers to self-pour by the glass, as well as a diverse selection of snacks, such as aubergine parmigiana, Scottish mussels and Spanish tortilla with seasonal vegetables.

Bristol-based sandwich purveyor Sandwich Sandwich is launching its second City of London store. Plans for the 3,500 sq ft site were first announced in November last year and comes six months after the brand made its London debut last summer.

The Emory in London’s Belgravia has launched the Emory Cigar Merchants on the 10th floor of the all-suite hotel. The rooftop lounge has been designed by Rémi Tessier and is home to a collection of nearly 200 cigars, predominantly Cuban, available by the stick or by the box. The team are led by Blue Curran, 2024 Cigar Sommelier of the Year at the Boisdale Annual Cigar Awards.

The Beefy Boys has launched a 90-cover restaurant within the former National Westminster Bank building in Bath. The Grade II-listed site features 5.25-metre ceilings and marble columns, as well as an open kitchen and vibrant bar area. The brand was founded by four childhood friends in 2011 and has since garnered a cult following for its American-style dirty burgers.

Brothers Jonathan, Richard and Martin Rees have launched Welsh-Italian café bar Rosita’s near Caerphilly Castle in Wales. The team have poured £275,000 into the refurbishment of the property, which has led to the installation of a new bar, kitchen and booths for relaxed all-day dining.

IHG Hotels & Resorts has launched its first branded net zero carbon hotel in partnership with Zeal Hotels and Valor Hospitality. The property features 142 bedrooms, a mini gym, gardens, meeting spaces and 12 EV charging points. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Isca, showcases locally-sourced ingredients.

Daniel Corrochio and Amy McQuarrie, the co-founders behind Mexican restaurant and tacqueria Corrochio’s in London’s Dalston, are set to launch Cinco, a neighbourhood bar focusing on Agave and Mexican spirits. It will pay homage to the couple’s former upbringing in the state of Jalisco and also offer a limited small plates menu featuring the likes of Flauta de Pulpo and XO Taco with pork belly.

Chef Patrick Powell has partnered with James Dye and Benjy Leibowitz to open One Club Row in London’s Shoreditch above their pub, the Knave of Clubs. Powell, formerly of Allegra in London’s Stratford and the Midland Grand Dining Room in London’s King’s Cross, will be offering dishes influenced by Parisian bistros and New York’s taverns.

Rudy’s Pizza Napoletana will be launching a 90-cover pizzeria in Leamington Spa as it continues its rapid expansion. Since launching in Manchester in 2015, the brand has grown to 30 restaurants nationwide. Leamington Spa also marks the group’s fourth opening in the West Midlands.

Salad bar chain Atis is set to launch its flagship store in Covent Garden, marking the brand’s 10th London location six years after its Old Street debut in 2019. The branch has been designed by Daytrip Studio and offers minimalist furniture, glossy yellow tiles and window seating.

Sarap alumni Josh Dallaway (head chef) and Sinead Murdoch (sommelier) are launching a year-long restaurant residency at Cav bar in London’s Bethnal Green. Tasca takes its inspiration from the dining cultures of Portugal and Spain and also offers a majority female-founded wine list.

Food hall operator Market Halls has is launching its fourth site in London’s Paddington Square. The 11,000 sq ft venue features eight traders, two bars and an outdoor terrace offering capacity for 355 guests inside and 130 outside in total. Stands will include the likes of Bao Night Market, Ashes Parrilla and Farm Girl.

French-Japanese fusion brand Café Kitsuné is set to launch its second London site in Covent Garden’s Seven Dials. The 530 sq ft space will seat 15 inside and eight outside and offer a variety of pastries, cakes and sandwiches tapping into both cultures. The Kitsuné-owned brand operates in 35 locations globally.

Italian restaurant Officina 00 is set to launch in London’s Covent Garden with the addition of Nonna’s pizza, an interpretation of the traditional pizza in rutiello from Naples. This will bring Officina 00’s footprint across the capital to three sites, following openings in Fitzrovia and Old Street.
