The Phat Pasty Co has unveiled Phat Eat Better sausage rolls for school menus. Crafted with a 50/50 blend of British Red Tractor Pork and a plant-based wheat protein mix, the sausage rolls are designed to offer a traditional flavour while being healthier, more sustainable and planet-friendly than standard recipes. Available in two sizes – a 4” version for primary schools and a 6” version suited for secondary schools – the products meet Food for Life and School Food standards and align with the 2024 Salt Guidelines.

Frank Dale Foodservice has unveiled two new products for the foodservice sector: a mini topped naan bread selection and a mini chocolate sponge cake selection. Each case of mini naans has 15 of three flavours: Bombay potatoes; aubergine and red pepper curry; and red lentil and spinach dahl. The mini chocolate sponge cake selection case has 12 of each flavour – crunchy cookie, caramelised biscuit, spiced ginger and double chocolate. Both the naans and the cakes are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and are available via Frank Dale’s frozen food distributor partner Central Foods.

QuornPro is launching Kitchen Kings, a range designed with fewer allergens to cater for a range of dietary requirements. Designed to be cost-effective, the gluten free range, which is cooked from frozen, comprises thick cut Vegan Savoury Bites and diced Vegan Pieces. Both are quick-cook and crafted to be high in protein, low in saturated fat, high in fibre and contain no soy.

Pujadas has launched a foldable service trolley, which is designed to maximise efficiency in busy foodservice environments while saving storage space. Manufactured with a robust stainless steel frame, the trolley supports a total load capacity of 150kg. The three-tier unit provides room for transporting food, supplies or equipment. Four swivel casters, including two with brakes, provide smooth mobility and stability. The design allows it to be folded in half width-wise, using a safety latch, for compact, vertically flat storage. Overall dimensions are 930mm width by 510mm deep by 930mm high, while the shelf size is 825 x 500mm.

Pidy has added three savoury puff pastry bites to its ready-to-use pastry case range. Available in three flavours; Tomato and Herbs de Provence; Pesto; and Beetroot and Black Pepper, all have been made in line with Pidy’s ‘Clean’ and ‘Green’ ethos, meaning the pastries are free from additives and preservatives, yet have a 9-month shelf life. The pastries can be served hot or cold. Baking time at 170°C is 5-10 minutes, for speedy service.

Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM) has introduced a range of induction chafers for buffets and self-service. Offering precise temperature control and energy efficiency, with the added safety of no open flames, the chafers are available in three styles: round, square and rectangular. Each comes with a stainless steel pan included with the chafing dish. Optional stand with burners, porcelain pans and additional stainless steel pans are available to purchase separately for each style.
