Refrigeration relaunch by LEC

As a result of its takeover by Glen Dimplex, LEC Commercial has updated and relaunched its range of catering fridges and freezers and bottle coolers.

The 14-strong line-up of light and slimline refrigeration cabinets uses forced-air cooling for faster temperature recovery after opening doors. External temperature displays minimise the need to open the units, and a temperature alarm warns if the designated range is breached.

Available in a white or stainless-steel finish, the range features security locks, reversible doors, removable shelving and baskets, adjustable feet and replaceable door seals on larger models. The full-width fridges and freezers offer capacities of 143 litres or 327 litres, while the slimline cabinets range in capacity from 82 litres to 277 litres, for fridges, and 62 litres to 229 litres for freezers.

The bottle coolers, which also utilise the forced-air cooling system, are claimed to consume 40% less energy than their competitors. Featuring preset electronic thermostats, automatic defrost and removable door gaskets, the one- and two-door models come in a silver or black finish with a stainless-steel option to follow later in the year.

Options include heights of 900mm or 870mm; widths of 500mm, 600mm or 900mm; chrome shelving or wine racking; and hinged or sliding doors on the two-door models.
