The former Gravetye Manor executive head chef has joined Hever Castle as its culinary director
George Blogg is to open a fine dining restaurant at Hever Castle in Kent in his role as culinary director of the estate.
Eden by George Blogg takes its names from the River Eden that flows through the grounds, which was formerly home to Anne Boleyn, and will serve a seasonal tasting menu.
A post on Instagram announcing the news stated: “George’s quietly assured approach champions food reflective of time and place, blending modern and classical technique.
“Expect warm and refined hospitality, a thoughtfully crafted menu and a beautifully curated wine list, all within a comfortable and intimate dining space.”
Blogg - a 2011 Acorn Award winner - was most recently executive head chef of Gravetye Manor in West Sussex, where he oversaw the hotel restaurant win and maintain numerous awards, including a Michelin star for nine years and four AA rosettes.
He has also been awarded a Master of Culinary Arts from the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts and was named Hotel Chef of the Year (fewer than 250 covers) at the 2022 Hotel Cateys.
He left Gravetye Manor in December 2024.
