Equipment manufacturer is aiming to build new fryers 75% quicker at Swiss factory
Valentine has unveiled the Core Smart electronic fryer, building on the Core range it introduced earlier this year.
The Core Smart is designed to deliver precision temperature control to +/- 1°C across six adjustable programmes per pan. Each pan automatically lifts when the programme concludes.
Adaptive cooking settings allows the fryer to adjust time and temperature based on each basket’s load, whilst an Eco feature automatically reduces the fryer temperature during long periods of inactivity.
An integrated Sicotronic energy management interface optimises energy usage.
The Core Smart is fitted with the latest FrySmart Technology, which will isolate the heating element to prevent overheating if the fryer is switched on without sufficient oil.
The fryer is pressed from a single sheet of stainless steel for durability, and features a smart cartridge-format electrical connection for easy and efficient servicing and minimal downtime.
Core Smart is available in six sizes, with capacities ranging from seven to 28 litres and widths of 200 to 600mm. Options include twin-pumped oil filtration for twin-pan fryers, providing separate pumps and oil buckets for each fry tank. This can minimise the risk of cross-contamination between food groups for allergen control.
The range comes with a three-year warranty as standard, plus Valentine guarantees spare parts will be available for 20 years.
Philip Sanderson, sales director at Valentine and Cuisinequip, said: “These fryers are designed not only to deliver exceptional frying results, but also to support operators with smarter technology, greater energy efficiency and peace of mind when it comes to kitchen safety and allergen control.
“The range comes with the precision Swiss engineering you would expect from Valentine, as well as confidence in after-sales care. The Valentine Core Smart is about giving chefs the tools they need to perform at their best, while helping businesses run more sustainably and efficiently.”
In advance of the Core Smart’s roll-out in October, the family business is upgrading its manufacturing facilities at its Swiss headquarters to speed up production time by at least 75% – from more than two days to less than half a day per fryer.
The new production line will assemble standardised modules and lead times from order to delivery will be reduced to three to four weeks.
Valentine estimates the new production process will fully optimised by the end of this year.
The company won the Light Equipment Brand of the Year category at The Caterer’s Supplier Awards this year.
