The facilities management firm sees potential for further growth beyond its portfolio of 40 clients
Jeremy Nutsford has been named head of food at 14forty, part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, as it looks to further growth.
He has worked at Compass for more than 10 years, most recently as culinary lead for its business and industry (B&I) division.
Nutsford will now focus on growing 14forty’s food offer and raising the profile of the facilities management firm, which delivers catering services to 40 clients across the UK but sees potential for further growth.
Its contracts include a £20m deal with National Gas and a three-year partnership with the Range to deliver cleaning and catering services at the UK’s fourth largest distribution centre.
His appointment comes at a time Compass Group managing director Antony Collett is leading a growth strategy to double the size of the business.
Nutsford, who first joined Compass as a relief chef manager way back in 2015, said: “This is an exciting challenge for me and one I aim to embrace.
“There is huge potential at 14forty and I will be focusing on delivering consistently high-quality food service, strong client engagement and strategic planning across all our current accounts.”
Nutsford will report into culinary director Ryan Holmes and Jason Trotman, head of culinary operations at Compass UK & Ireland’s B&I sector.
14forty takes its name from the fact that there are 1,440 minutes in a day.
The Birmingham-based business employs more than 3,000 staff and offers both hard and soft facilities management services.
