She will oversee more than 3,000 hotels under brands including Pullman, Mövenpick, Novotel and Mercure
French hotel giant Accor has named Karelle Lamouche as chief executive for Europe and North Africa across its premium, midscale and economy brands.
She will lead Accor’s business in the region, which includes more than 3,000 hotels across 40+ countries, representing approximately 40% of its entire global network.
The division includes the Pullman, Mövenpick, Swissôtel, Novotel, Mercure, Handwritten Collection, Tribe, Ibis and Greet hotel brands.
Lamouche has spent nearly 30 years at Accor since joining in 1998 and working within its hotels, including as a general manager.
She has since progressed to global leadership marketing and commercial roles and was most recently the group’s chief operating officer for Europe and North Africa.
Lamouche said: “I’m hugely excited to be leading the business across this region, boosting our presence in fantastic emerging destinations and bringing new energy and visitors to established ones.”
Accor has more than 5,700 hotels and resorts trading across 110 countries as well as 10,000 bars and restaurants, wellness facilities and flexible workspaces.
The group said it expects its global revenue per available room (revpar) across its hotels to grow between 3% and 4% this year while it has raised its profit forecasts for the year.
In the UK, both London and the regions posted a revpar increase in the third quarter of 2025 driven by a boost in both leisure and corporate events.
In October, the group said it was considering a public listing for Ennismore, the lifestyle hospitality group behind the Gleneagles and Hoxton brands it took a majority stake in four years ago.
Accor chief executive Sébastien Bazin told investors in July that Ennismore needed “to shine better and grow faster”.
