The 60-room hotel has continued to trade since appointing administrators
Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa near Haslemere in Surrey has been put up for sale for £8.25m, months after falling into administration.
The 60-room hotel, which operated under InterContinental Hotels Group’s Voco brand, appointed administrators from RSM Restructuring Advisory in March.
It has continued to trade and is being marketed as a going concern by Christie & Co.
Lythe Hill occupies a Grade II-listed building which dates to the 14th century. It features the Tudor restaurant, a pizzeria, three function suites, a heated indoor swimming pool and extensive spa and leisure facilities.
The hotel is set within 19 acres of landscaped grounds, including a lake and private helicopter pad.
Planning permission has been granted to build a further 36 bedrooms and there is potential to develop Lythe Hill Farm, a three-bed bungalow within its grounds.
Glen Carter of administrator RSM said: “Since our appointment, we have taken proactive steps to stabilise operations at Lythe Hill Hotel & Spa, ensuring continuity of service and preserving the hotel’s strong market presence.
“The business continues to trade successfully, supported by its established reputation in the wedding, leisure and corporate sectors. The hotel is now well-positioned as an attractive opportunity for new owners to build on a solid foundation and unlock its full potential.”
Ed Bellfield, regional director at Christie & Co, said: “This is a unique opportunity to acquire a well-known trading hotel and spa business in the Surrey countryside, with the potential to increase future income via implementing the current planning permission for an additional 36 bedrooms and extension to the spa.”
