Compass B&I appoints Hilary Goldby as HR director 

Hilary Goldby has been appointed HR director of Compass Group UK & Ireland’s Business and Industry (B&I) division.

She joins the business having worked with Tesco, GEOAmey and Dixons Carphone and has been given a remit to drive the company’s commitment to put its people first and to support continued growth.

Goldby will oversee employees across a number of the group’s caterers including Eurest and Dine.

She said: "I’ve spent time in a lot of businesses of different types across retail, contracting, supply chain and distribution, which has given me a broad view of people strategies.

“I wanted to come to a business that was both people-centric and ambitious, and I’ve found that in Compass B&I.

“My role is to nurture and motivate our teams, which will in turn ensure we have the best people with the skills to deliver for the business. It’s an exciting remit.”

Compass B&I chief executive Morag Freathy said: “This is an exciting appointment at an important time for the business and underlines our determination to put people at the heart of everything we do.
