The 81-bedroom hotel takes inspiration from the neighbourhood’s bohemian residents
The Newman, the first hotel from international hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co, has finally opened its doors in London’s Fitzrovia.
The 81-bedroom property is being led by general manager Oliver Milne-Watson, who is working closely with Kinsfolk & Co’s founder, Paul Brackley, formerly of the Beaumont in London’s Mayfair.

Designed by London-based studio Lind + Almond, the hotel takes its inspiration from the neighbourhood’s bohemian residents, such as Nancy Cunard, and features a contemporary Art Deco aesthetic.
The Newman also features a Penthouse Suite complete with a private terrace, sauna and ice plunge, available for exclusive use. Amenities include LED face masks and yoga mats.

Each of the standard rooms feature wellness mini-bars stacked with CBD sleep patches, essential oils and Anatomē scents.
The hotel’s F&B offering consists of all-day European restaurant Brasserie Angelica, which features a bespoke sandwich trolley, and the underground Gambit Bar, which will host in-house DJs and regular chess nights.

Meanwhile, its wellness facilities include a medical-grade halotherapy room, Ice Lounge, Finnish sauna, steam room and hydrotherapy plunge pool.

Treatment partners include Moss of the Isles, CBD brand Kloris, Hyperice and Déesse Pro, which provides guests with access to medical-grade LED light treatments.

The Newman also partnered with Saira Hospitality to host a pop-up hospitality school, supporting individuals with barriers to employment into a career in the industry.

Milne-Watson said: “We are delighted to be open and equally humbled by the warm welcome we have received from our neighbours. The team and I look forward to welcoming everyone in the days, months, and years ahead – your new old friend is here and waiting for you.”
Opening rates at the Newman start from £695 per night.
