Oliver Milne-Watson named general manager of Kinsfolk & Co's first hotel

Oliver Milne-Watson has been appointed general manager of the Newman in London's Fitzrovia, the first hotel from new hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co.

The 81-bedroom property is due to open in winter 2024 and will feature a European brasserie, cocktail bar and wellness floor.

Milne-Watson has over 15 years' experience in the industry, having spent five years at the Goring in London's Belgravia. He also opened the Beaumont in London's Mayfair in 2014 and later became hotel manager.

He was most recently director of operations at emotional intelligence research firm Penshee, which works with a range of clients including law firms and hospitality groups.

Milne-Watson said: "I am delighted to be at the helm of The Newman ahead of our launch next year, and through this exciting time of growth for the wider Kinsfolk & Co brand. We aim to create a go-to destination in Fitzrovia, offering a grown-up and elevated, yet fun, experience where guests will be able to enjoy thoughtful excellence across design, service, food, and wellness."

Kinsfolk & Co was founded by former managing director of the Beaumont, Paul Brackley, in May this year.

The company is aiming to open five properties within the next five years and Brackley told The Caterer he was keen to develop a serviced apartment offer for the group.
