Revenue Strategy Forum

London

Hotel industry leaders, innovators and strategists will come together to discuss the hot topics of the moment, including Blue Ocean strategies, blockchain and e-commerce, at the fourth annual Revenue Strategy Forum (RSF) London.

Organised by Duetto, the hospitality industry’s only Revenue Strategy Platform, RSF London 2018 will present a packed programme of debate when it takes place ahead of World Travel Market on 5 November 2018 at the Amba Hotel Charing Cross.

Innovator, strategist and Chief Operating Officer of citizenM, Michael Levie, will open with a keynote presentation on the benefits to hotels of taking a Blue Ocean approach to business. He will provide the audience with insight on how to differentiate in a “sea of sameness” and find the blue ocean of profit to succeed.

Levie will also moderate a panel discussion on blockchain. According to a survey by the World Economic Forum, 58% of executives anticipate that 10% of global GDP will be stored on blockchain before 2025. It is therefore imperative that hoteliers pay attention to this technological revolution.

What can hoteliers learn from Amazon? How does the e-commerce giant always seem to know what to recommend next to their customers? Julien Simon, Principal Evangelist A.I./Machine Learning EMEA, Amazon Web Services, will provide the closing presentation, talking about how A.I. can transform the hotel business.

“Now in its fourth year, RSF London will continue to challenge Europe’s hotel leadership on how their organisations should manage change and embrace new concepts,” said Michael McCartan, Managing Director, EMEA, Duetto. “Burning issues such as blockchain, change management and personalised e-commerce are topics that need to be addressed if the industry is to continue to innovate. Those leading the change will be those leading the pack as the industry moves forward.”

RSF London 2017 was attended by more than 150 hoteliers and senior executives focused on revenue and distribution.

This year the organisers of HYPERJAPAN are giving independent traders from London the opportunity to to showcase their amazing range of Japanese street snacks under one roof alongside the Ramen Experience, Curry Workshop and the Sake Experience including the largest collection of Namesake ever seen.

The majority of these start-ups move around the many food markets we have in the Capital without the support or funds for permanent locations. For the first time, they will be trading side-by-side in a celebration of Japanese food and culture. Dishes include Buta No Kakuni (braised pork topped with spring onions) from Peko Peko, fluffy Smoky Sesame Cream Dorayaki from Wagashi Bakery and perfect Katsu from the Don of panko, Don Panko.

Visitors to the three-day event taking place from Friday 16 to Sunday 18 of November will be able to take part in the Ramen Experience, where ticket holders are given the three classic broths to try – Shoyu (Soy), Tonkotsu (Pork) and Paitan (Chicken) – decide on their favourite, and then enjoy a bowl of their preferred combination of stock with classic toppings.

The Sake Experience also offers visitors an opportunity to sample the variations in flavours across an incredible selection of more than 100 Japanese rice wines as well as liqueurs, craft beers and Chu-Hi (the hugely popular Japanese “alcopop” drink).

HYPERJAPAN will also be showcasing a range of Namazake, unpasteurised “live” sake, flown in specially (and kept chilled during transport) from more than 30 different brewers in Japan. These sakes are extremely scarce and a collection of this size is rare to see even in Japan providing another unique opportunity for visitors.
