The Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton will open in February 2026
Hilton is expanding its portfolio of Curio Collection hotels in London with the planned opening of the Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton in February 2026.
Owned and operated by Dominus, the hotel’s name is inspired by the quintessentially British bowler hat, known as a ‘derby’.
With 234 contemporary designed rooms, including 15 signature suites offering panoramic views of the City skyline, the Derby will welcome both business and leisure travellers to the capital’s historic financial district.
The lifestyle hotel will pay tribute to the local area’s banking legacy with interiors curated in collaboration with design studio AvroKO.
F&B will be led by Rycrofte’s restaurant and coffee bar, reimagining classic British cuisine with seasonal ingredients.
At 5:10pm daily, the Derby will host the Golden Hour, a spirited ritual named after its address (5 - 10 Great Tower Street), featuring a signature cocktail that celebrates the character of the day.
The property will also offer private dining and boardroom-style meeting spaces for 10-20 delegates, complete with cutting-edge technology.
Additional amenities include a 24-hour gym and curated experiences such as Mercer’s Market, a monthly celebration of local artists and artisans, honouring the legacy of Sir Robert Tate and London’s trade scene.
Dominus Hospitality’s director of hotels Matt Williams said: “The opening of the Derby London City, Curio Collection by Hilton represents our ambitious growth strategy and our commitment to delivering best-in-class experiences for our guests.
“Our vision was to create a destination that not only honours the City’s rich heritage but also reflects the energy and elegance of modern London. From its design to its service, the Derby London City is a celebration of craftsmanship, character and connection.”
The Derby London City will become the capital’s eighth Curio Collection hotel, with the lifestyle brand operating more than 180 hotels worldwide.
Hilton currently has a portfolio of 9,000 properties in 139 countries and territories across 24 hotel brands.
