Celentano’s in Glasgow, which holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand, will close at the end of the year ahead of plans to relocate.
The restaurant was launched in 2021 by Dean Parker, former executive chef of Robin Gill’s Darby’s in London, and his wife Anna, who heads front of house.
In an announcement on Instagram, the Parkers said: “The building we have been lucky enough to call home for the past four years, Cathedral House, is up for sale. This means Celentano’s at Cathedral house will be closing at the end of the year. Our last big service will be 31 December 2025…ending the year with a bang!
“Don’t panic though! We are using this as an opportunity to relocate! We are already working on something new so Celentano’s will live on (hopefully early 2026). We will update everyone with details as soon as we can, but for now, we would appreciate all the support until the end of the year!”
Celentano’s takes its name from a song the couple remembered from their Italian honeymoon and marked Dean’s first standalone project when it launched.
In 2022, the restaurant received a Michelin Bib Gourmand in recognition of its “consummately seasoned Italian dishes”.
Food critic Grace Dent also praised Celentano’s for its “exquisite” pasta in The Guardian.
