Olivia Immesi appointed CEO of Native Places

Olivia Immesi has been promoted to chief executive of UK aparthotel brand Native Places.

She joined the company as managing director in 2021 and will now be responsible for the day-to-day operations at Native Places' 11 sites across London, as well as its properties in Manchester, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Immesi has over 20 years' experience in the industry, having started out with the launch of the original Hoxton in Shoreditch and Ace Hotel London.

She was then appointed director of sales at the Hoxton, a position she held for six years, before moving on to a role in sales and marketing strategies at the first Ace hotel in Europe.

In 2018, she was made general manager of the Curtain hotel and members' club in London's Shoreditch, now a Mondrian hotel.

For her latest role, Immesi has revealed plans to accelerate the company's UK expansion amid preparations for the launch of Native King's Wardrobe, St Paul's, later this year.

Native Glasgow is also undergoing a significant refurbishment and is set to receive new penthouse and premium studios next year.

Further openings in the pipeline for 2025 include London's Fulham and Birmingham, a new location for Native Places.

Immesi has also pledged to make Native Places a net-zero carbon operation by 2030.

She said: "I am delighted to start a new role and chapter within Native Places. Having been with the brand for just three years now, I'm looking forward to conscientiously cultivating the brand further and cementing our position as the leading lifestyle aparthotel provider in the UK.

"Driving our ambitious expansion plans into Europe, we will continue to reshape the hospitality sector while developing innovative concepts that connect our guests with local communities while prioritising sustainable operations, stylish design, extra space and greater flexibility for our guests."

Native Places was founded in 1998 and has since grown into 11 serviced apartments under the Apartment Collection. It also owns Counter, the brand's food and beverage offering, and Ducie Street Warehouse, a bar, restaurant and hotel in Manchester.
