Square renews partnership for 2026 Cateys

The biggest awards in the hospitality industry calendar, the Cateys, are to be held in partnership with Square for a second year running.

The payments and financial management tech platform has chosen to renew its partnership with The Caterer for 2026 to recognise the achievements of those within the hospitality industry and further demonstrate its commitment to excellence in hospitality.

The Cateys, taking place at JW Marriott Grosvenor House London on Tuesday 7 July 2026, will shine a spotlight on the highest achievers and most inspirational performers in the industry.

Lizzie Barclay, SVP international marketing at Square said: “Square is proud to be the headline sponsor of The Cateys for the second year in a row.

Square will also sponsor the Lifetime Achievement Award, the accolade which recognises an individual who has made a significant, lasting mark on hospitality and proven success for 30 or more years.

Last year’s winner of the Lifetime Achievement Award went to Brian Turner. The highly respected chef and restaurateur has enjoyed a storied career that has seen him receive a CBE for services to the catering industry, serve as honorary president of the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, and judge the Roux Scholarship for more than 25 years.

Other winners included hotelier, wine expert, mentor and charity trustee Nina Basset who took home the Special Award, Mark Birchall who triumphed in the Chef Award category, Thom and James Elliot who won the Restaurateur of the Year – Group for Pizza Pilgrims, and Red Carnation Hotels which received Best Employer Award.
