The North Yorkshire hospitality establishment is set to open its doors to public this summer upon completion of its ongoing conversion
The Treasury Whitby, a luxury bar conversion of a former bank branch, has partnered with luxury champagne house Laurent-Perrier ahead of its opening this summer.
The Grade II listed Victorian building and former HSBC bank is currently undergoing a renovation to be converted into a bar on its ground floor, with two holiday flats available on the upper floors.
The proposal to convert Whitby’s 4 Baxtergate property, which has stood in Whitby’s town centre since 1891, were approved by local authorities in October.
Ali Hussain, founder of the Treasury Whitby, said: “We are incredibly proud to partner with Laurent-Perrier.
“Their dedication to craftsmanship, heritage and innovation mirrors our own vision for the Treasury. Together, we aim to create something truly special for Whitby, an experience that feels both timeless and contemporary.”
Andrew Wootton, Laurent-Perrier business development executive for the North and Scotland, added: “The Treasury Whitby embodies the values we hold dear, family leadership, respect for heritage and an uncompromising pursuit of quality.
“We are delighted to support the creation of what promises to be one of the region’s most refined hospitality destinations.”
