Brian Turner to host virtual dinner in aid of Adopt a School

Adopt a School's next fundraising event will be a virtual dinner hosted by chef Brian Turner on Wednesday 28 April.

The evening will include a three-course dinner created by Ben Tish (chef director, the Stafford London and Norma London), Martyn Nail (executive chef, Claridge's) and Alistair Birt (head pastry chef, Harrods) and cooked by guests at home, with ingredients and instructions delivered to their door.

The menu will start with roasted scallops, preserved lemon, bottarga butter and sea beets, followed by lamb Wellington with garlic and rosemary jus, peas, broad beans, heritage carrots, pea purée and Jersey royals. Dessert will be a chocolate, hazelnut and raspberry pallet. To accompany the meal will be a bottle of Laurent Perrier Champagne. The chefs will also be in attendance to talk through their courses and give last-minute plating instructions.

There will be virtual dinner tables in which guests can interact, as well as entertainment and live auctions broadcast from the main stage.

The Adopt a School programme, run by the Royal Academy of Culinary Arts, of which Turner is president, helps children to develop healthy eating habits and encourages an enthusiasm and interest in food, cooking, food provenance and sustainability.

Tickets are £100 per person. If you would like to join Adopt a School and attend the event, please contact Juliet Snow for further information.
