It comes after chef announced her return to Northcote in Lancashire last week
Lisa Goodwin-Allen has been appointed culinary director of the Beaumont in London’s Mayfair.
The chef will oversee the F&B offering at the hotel as it looks to launch a new flagship restaurant, Rosi, in the former site of the hotel’s Colony Grill Room this autumn.
She will work closely with executive chef Brendan Fyldes and chief executive Stuart Procter, who joined the Beaumont in June 2024 following his sudden departure from the Stafford Collection in March the same year.
Goodwin-Allen will hold the role alongside her position as chef patron-director at Northcote in Lancashire. She announced her return to the Ribble Valley hotel last week following its sale to a husband-and-wife team.
For six years prior to the sale, Northcote had formed part of the Britannia Hospitality-owned Stafford Collection. Goodwin-Allen’s new role will see her reunite with Procter after the pair worked together in the business.
Procter said: “We are thrilled to have Lisa joining us at the Beaumont. She is an exceptional chef and having known and worked with her for many years, I have no doubt that her passion and expertise will elevate our food offering to even higher standards. Lisa is joining the team at a very exciting time. Working alongside Brendan Fyldes, she will play an integral role in the launch of our new restaurant, as well as other exciting projects we have coming up.”
Goodwin-Allen added: “I am delighted to be joining the team at the Beaumont Mayfair and to be working with Stuart again in this next chapter of my career. With the launch of Rosi in the autumn and other exciting projects in the pipeline, I look forward to working with Brendan and the kitchen brigade to create menus that embrace seasonality and showcase the very best British ingredients, as well as collaborating on the overall F&B direction of the hotel. Together I know we will deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.”
The Beaumont was built as a parking garage in the 1920s and was transformed into a hotel in 2014 by restaurateurs Chris Corbin and Jeremy King.
Ellerman Hotel Company, which is owned by the Barclay family, bought the leasehold of the property in 2018.
In 2021, the Beaumont recruited Duncan Palmer as managing director, who led on the hotel’s three-year renovation project, which was completed in February last year.
Palmer left the hotel in April 2024 and Procter joined in his place two months later.
