It marks the boutique caterer’s third major contract win over the past year
London-based caterer Dinner Ladies has been appointed preferred catering partner at the Foundling Museum in Bloomsbury.
The win is the independently owned boutique caterer’s third major contract in the past year, following agreements with St Albans Cathedral and the Apothecaries’ Hall in the City of London.
The Foundling Museum is located on the site of the historic Foundling Hospital, which was established by Thomas Coram in 1739 to care for deprived and unwell children. The hospital was later transformed into a gallery with the support of artist William Hogarth and composer George Frideric Handel.
Rosie Baker, director of commercial and operations at the museum, said: “The brilliant Dinner Ladies will bring their vibrant, thoughtful approach to hospitality to our beautiful event spaces. This collaboration is grounded in shared values. As a female-led charity, the museum sought a partner whose ethos reflected our commitment to community, creativity and care.
“Dinner Ladies – a female-led catering company – champions women at all stages of their careers, with a strong focus on supporting working mothers to return to the hospitality industry through flexible, meaningful employment. Their values align closely with Foundling Museum’s award-winning creative learning programmes, which provide vital support to care-experienced young people, young mothers and families.”
Lily Cai, co-founder and managing director of Dinner Ladies, said: “We are honoured to be working with such a brilliant charity and proud to welcome such a beautiful venue into our collection. The spaces have so much to offer today’s discerning event buyer and we are confident by working together we will gain growth.”
Dinner Ladies was founded by Cai and university friend Emily Plunket in 2015.
