Caterer Genuine Dining has partnered with regenerative farming business Grassroots to source ethically produced beef
Genuine Dining has partnered with Grassroots Farming to source beef directly through its regenerative supply chain.
The partnership means that the catering business will only serve beef that is fully traceable and comes from farms that focus on soil health, water quality, biodiversity, and animal welfare.
The deal comes as Genuine Dining has announced that one of its London sites (pictured) has been awarded a three-star Food Made Good rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association.
It has been achieved in part through its partnership with Grassroots farms, along with a commitment to sourcing fresh produce through Foodari and fulfilling deliveries by using cargo bikes and electric vans.
Eddie Laposi, Head of social value at Genuine Dining, said: “Achieving a three-star Food Made Good Standard is a testament to the dedication of our teams and the strength of our partnerships. We believe food should be a force for good - supporting people, communities and the planet - and this recognition shows the impact of embedding sustainability into everything we do.”
Addressing the move to regenerative beef, Genuine Dining chef director Dan Howes said: “We’re hugely excited to deepen our commitment to regenerative sourcing.
“Bringing Grassroots’ beef into our menus means we can serve food that tastes exceptional and reflects our values - supporting farmers who are rebuilding soil health, improving biodiversity, and reducing carbon emissions.”
