Plans for the 214-bedroom hotel in Haymarket were announced back in 2022
The Hoxton Edinburgh has confirmed it will finally open its doors on 23 June.
Plans for the 214-bedroom hotel in Haymarket were announced back in 2022, with an initial opening date slated for summer 2023.
It is the first Scottish hotel for the Hoxton brand, which was founded in London’s Shoreditch in 2006.
The Hoxton Edinburgh is made up of 11 Georgian townhouses set across both sides of the street designed and restored by Ennismore’s in-house design team, Aime Studios.
It features a an open-house lobby, a five-person cinema, a ballroom events space, meeting spaces with a communal pantry and all-day Italian restaurant Patatino, which takes its inspiration from the Amalfi coast.
The hotel will offer nine different types of room ranging from Snug Single and Bunk rooms for solo travellers to classic sizes such as Cosy, Roomy and Biggy.
Hoxton Edinburgh will also feature the brand’s first aparthotel offering, with three self-contained three-bedroom, three-bathroom homes which could rival the likes of Airbnb when they open for booking this summer.
The hotel takes its cues from the neighbourhood’s Neoclassical style fused with contemporary block colours to create a modern feel.
Ennismore, a joint venture with hotel giant Accor, runs 18 worldwide hotels under the Hoxton brand, including London hotels in Holborn, Southwark, Shepherd’s Bush.
