Apprenticeship provider’s team attended a recent Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace
Hospitality apprenticeship and training provider Umbrella Training was honoured with an invitation to the Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 14 May.
The event, hosted by the Royal Household, recognised the company’s ongoing commitment to skills development and education in the hospitality sector.
Representing Umbrella Training at the event were founder Adele Catherine Oxberry; Will Braggins, delivery and operations lead and Umbrella Training’s longest serving team member; and Zak Bentaleb, director of careers and talent.
The trio joined fellow industry representatives in celebrating the achievements and collaborative efforts that continue to shape the future of hospitality. Attendees were served traditional afternoon tea, including cucumber and mint sandwiches provided by CH&Co, and engaged in discussions about the industry’s growth and development.
Oxberry said: “This moment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. With over 5,000 learners having benefited from our programmes, we remain proud of the role we play in nurturing talent and shaping the future of the industry.”
Umbrella Training’s invitation highlights its impact on hospitality education and its dedication to fostering the next generation of industry professionals.
The training provider recently linked up with charities the Felix Project and Beam to train young people ‘from complicated backgrounds’ into employment.
In 2023, Umbrella Training won its second Princess Royal Training Award to recognise the organisation’s commitment to learning and development.
