Oven manufacturer’s ‘fleX’ scheme could help operators minimise initial outlay for the latest cooking technology
Cooking equipment manufacturer Unox has launched fleX, a leasing solution for public sector catering operators.
The scheme is designed to support educational and healthcare settings in accessing the latest cooking technology without the need for an initial high-investment purchase.
fleX can be applied to Unox’s Cheftop-X, Mind.Maps Plus and Evereo product ranges through an all-inclusive monthly fee. The programme allows customers to spread costs over three, four or five years, with installation, scheduled maintenance, warranty and technical assistance included as standard.
Alongside the equipment, operators receive delivery, installation, a comprehensive parts and labour warranty and a detergent starter pack. Optional upgrades, including Digital.ID Premium services, are also available.
Scott Duncan, managing director at Unox UK, said: “We know that in the public sector, budgets are tight and costs continue to rise, which means approval for initial high spend can be a real challenge. That’s exactly why we created fleX, so that we can give caterers access to high-performance kitchen equipment that will help them to run a kitchen efficiently and effectively whilst increasing output and versatility, but without the upfront costs that these bits of equipment are usually associated with.
“With fleX, you simply pay a monthly fee that covers everything: the oven, the installation and the maintenance. It’s flexible, it’s transparent and it takes the financial pressure off while giving caterers the tools to do their best work. Whether it’s in a school, a hospital or any public sector kitchen, fleX gives caterers the freedom to focus on delivering quality food without compromise.”
At the end of the lease, operators can choose to either return, renew or purchase the unit with three additional payments, with the process streamlined via Unox’s distributor network in partnership with Latitude Leasing.
In April, the manufacturer joined forces with third-party environmental agency ImpactLoop to calculate the carbon footprint of its cooking equipment.
Unox won the Cooking Equipment Brand of the Year category at The Caterer’s Supplier Awards this year. Nominations for next year’s awards are now open.
