Inside the renovated £6,210-a-night Kipling Suite at Brown's hotel in London

Brown's, a Rocco Forte hotel, in London has released images of its renovated Kipling Suite.

The suite is a celebration of British author Rudyard Kipling, a regular guest of the hotel.

The renovation of the suite has been overseen by Olga Polizzi, director of design at Rocco Forte Hotels.

A celebration of English culture and design, the three-month project has seen the original Kipling Suite merged with the Albemarle Suite and re-imagined to form the largest space now available to guests of the hotel.

The suite features a new entrance lobby, which leads into the bedroom and the Kipling sitting room. There are floor-to-ceiling windows throughout with views over Mayfair's Albemarle Street. It also features English wallpaper and fabrics by Lewis & Wood, as well as silk curtain fabric by Manuel Canovas and furniture by Julian Chichester.

Polizzi has also selected a range of antiques for the suite, including a 1940s alabaster pendant light, complemented by two antique Italian decorative side lights.

The original plaster features of the Kipling Suite sitting room have been maintained but the rooms feature new timber flooring.

There is also a new hand-knotted rug, and additional seating, sofa and chairs have been added to create more comfort in an enlarged space.

There is also a framed, handwritten letter from Rudyard Kipling, penned and sent during a stay at the hotel.

Meanwhile, the bedroom features a 9 sq m walk-in wardrobe with separate ‘his' and ‘hers' hanging space. A 16 sq m en suite bathroom is finished in Arabescato white veined marble and boasts a freestanding bath as well as a double shower.

Polizzi said: "Like all of our rooms at Brown's hotel, we designed the Kipling so you can feel that you are in London. This will be a grand classical suite of great comfort with a combination of antique pieces and contemporary designer items. The English theme carries on and is maintained as in all our rooms at Brown's hotel with English wallpaper, fabrics, colours and objects."

The renovation of the Kipling Suite is part of the Rocco Forte Suite Experience, a new concept across each of the collection's 10 European hotels designed to give guests an indulgent experience from arrival to departure.

Guests staying in the Forte Suites (which includes the Kipling Suite at Brown's) can choose from a menu of ‘backstage passes' to access some of the city's most renowned locations, often unavailable to the public. Brown's hotel will offer a tour of the Paul Smith store on Albemarle Street or a personal appointment at Peter Harrington Rare Books.

Prices start at £6,210 including VAT per night (for the one-bedroom suite).
